Fresh charges have been laid against a man accused of attempting to murder two police officers and killing a police dog during a shooting two weeks ago in Christchurch.
Christopher Graeme Smith, 34, now faces 11 charges.
The five new charges include unlawful posession of firearms, posession of cannabis and using a firearm against a police officer.
He appeared in the Christchurch District Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody for a post committal conference on 10 September.
His brother, Steven Smith, 31, also faces charges relating to a cannabis operation, and the possession of four different guns.
