Another gang member is in hospital with gunshot wounds following an incident in Wairoa earlier this week.
The man admitted himself to Wairoa hospital and is now being treated in Hawke's Bay hospital for gunshot wounds to several parts of his body.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Scott says a shooting and brawl were a result of "internal issues" within a Wairoa gang.
In a search of the gang property on Wednesday, police found a pistol, a shotgun and three rifles.
Twenty four gang members arrested earlier this week are to appear in the Gisborne District Court on Friday.
