Hospital laboratory workers will continue industrial action after turning down the latest pay offer from district health boards, their union says.
Members of the Medical Laboratory Workers Union throughout the country have been withdrawing some services in a dispute over pay during negotiation of a new collective employment contract.
This has led to daily suspensions of lab staff by Auckland's three district health boards.
The union has counted a postal ballot on a revised pay offer that involved a 1% rise now and another in January.
National secretary Bryan Raill says members overwhelmingly voted against the offer.
