Police have visited the workplace of the former partner of missing Auckland woman Carmen Thomas.

The 32-year-old has been missing since the end of June and police believe she has been killed, having found blood in her abandoned car.

A police spokesperson says officers are exploring every avenue in their investigation and on Wednesday visited her former partner's workplace in Auckland as part of that work.

They are evaluating the results of a road checkpoint held in east Auckland yesterday morning and may hold another.
