The widow of Feilding farmer Scott Guy has issued an emotional appeal for anyone who knows anything about the killing to come forward.
Mr Guy, 31, died of gunshot wounds and his body was discovered at the end of his driveway early on 8 July.
At a news conference on Friday, Kylee Guy said the killer ruined her life and took a beautiful father away from her son and her unborn son who is due in a few weeks.
She pleaded for whoever was responsible to come forward, or for anyone who has information about it to help police.
"There's no words to describe this person because it's just so horrible what they have done. I'd hate for someone to go through what we're going through. This person's still out there, so you don't know what they could do."
Mrs Guy said she had so many plans to make her life with her husband, but now can't decide what to do next.
Police are maintaining a 40-strong inquiry team, but are giving no details about any progress.
