NZ man arrested over fatal Hong Kong brawl

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed a New Zealander was arrested in relation to a bar brawl in Hong Kong resulting in the death of a man.

A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in the nightlife district of Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon last Wednesday.

An American teacher has been charged with his murder, and the attempted murder of another person.

The unnamed New Zealand man is one of three other men arrested by police.

MFAT says the New Zealander has been released on bail and no charges have been laid against him at this stage.
