Police in Wellington are investigating reports of several gun shots going off in Lower Hutt late on Wednesday night.
Witnesses told police they heard between three and five shots fired at 11.50pm in Waiwhetu.
Police say there have been no reports of injury or damage.
They want further information on who was firing the shots and what was being targeted.
