The Wellington Phoenix have lost their A-League football match 1-0 to the Brisbane Roar in Queensland.
Former Phoenix striker Kosta Barbarouses scored after 73 minutes.
Barbarouses was overlooked by Phoenix and All Whites coach Ricki Herbert for much of last season as the Phoenix went to within one match of the grand final.
He was also left behind when New Zealand went to the World Cup.
