Refund due for electronic bus fare passengers

9:05 am on 30 August 2010

About 5000 bus passengers in Wellington who pay their fares electronically, are due to receive a small refund because of a software fault with an electronic ticket system.

Snapper card users were overcharged about $2 between 10 - 20 August.

The Snapper company says card holders should go to its website to find out if they qualify for a refund and how to get it.

It says refunds can be loaded onto Snapper cards or deposited into bank accounts or they can be donated to charity.
