Police are searching for two or three armed men who confronted Armourguard security staff at a bank in West Auckland.
Officers were called to the scene inside the entrance to the ASB bank, near the Westgate Shopping Mall in the suburb of Massey about 4.50pm on Thursday.
They say no shots were fired and the men fled in a vehicle with some money before police arrived.
