Relief fund donations flow in

Donations to relief funds set up to help rebuild in Canterbury are rolling in.

The ASB, ANZ and Westpac banks have all opened accounts to which people can donate.

ANZ Bank, Westpac and Fonterra have each given $1 million.

Fonterra chief executive Andrew Ferrier told Morning Report he expects the donation will be used for rebuilding in Christchurch.

BNZ has offered a package worth $1 million comprising $250,000 in cash donations, food vouchers and other support.

Natural Dairy, the Hong Kong company seeking to buy the Crafar farms, has pledged $200,000.

Pyne Gould Corporation has given $50,000.

TelstraClear is donating $100,000.

Foodstuffs has also committed $100,000 and is arranging donation

points in its New World, Pak'n Save and Four Square stores.
