A funeral for Vietnam war hero Morrie Stanley has been held in Auckland on Wednesday.
Mr Stanley died of cancer last week at his home in Campbells Bay on Auckland's North Shore.
Earlier this year, he received an Australian award for gallantry during the battle of Long Tan in August 1966.
He achieved the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and was made a Member of Order of the British Empire for his actions.
A 21-gun salute took place at midday and a funeral procession then made way through Mairangi Bay, with Mr Stanley's body being transported by gun carriage.
