Police crackdown on organised crime in Bay of Plenty

8:19 pm on 22 September 2010

Police have executed eight search warrants across western Bay of Plenty in the latest round of an operation targeting people who earn a living from criminal activity.

Two warrants were executed at commercial properties in Papamoa, where the initial entry was made by the Armed Offenders Squad.

Seven people have been charged with offences including cultivation, possession and supply of cannabis for sale, and possession of methamphetamine.

Four people were arrested at two houses in Te Puke which police say were being used in blatant drug-dealing, including selling to school children.
