North Island power network reconnected

Powerco says all the damage to its electricity network during the past seven days of stormy weather across the North Island is now repaired.

More than 87,000 customers have been affected since last Friday.

Network operations manager Phil Marsh says every fault that they are aware of, has been fixed.

Any customers still without power should contact their billing company.

He says the company suspects there may be a few people with problems that it does not know about.
