Police investigating allegations of fraud involving a former Housing New Zealand employee say they will not lay criminal charges.
The investigation began after Housing New Zealand said there were 31 cases where tenants were allocated homes in suspicious circumstances.
The accusations involved a former employee.
Police say the decision was based on the available evidence.
Housing New Zealand had referred the matter to police after an internal investigation found that some tenants in Auckland were skipping the queue for housing.
