Black Caps have to redeem themselves - NZC

New Zealand Cricket says the players in the national side are being given the chance to redeem themselves.

Captain Dan Vettori and coach Mark Greatbatch met NZC board members in Wellington on Friday to discuss a 4-0 series loss to Bangladesh.

A committee is to review the management structure of the Black Caps after a tour of India next month.

NZC chief executive Justin Vaughan agrees an improvement is needed on the tour and it won't necessarily be defined by the number of games they win or lose.

NZC chairman Chris Moller says the players, especially the batsmen, were forcefully told they need to step up and prove what the team is capable of.

New Zealand is due to play three Tests in India from 4 - 24 November, followed by five one-day internationals from 28 November - 10 December.
