The final of the 2011 Rugby World Cup will take place this time next year at Eden Park.
To mark the milestone, the Webb Ellis Cup is on public display at Te Papa in Wellington on Saturday.
A tournament organiser says it's a rare opportunity to see the trophy up close and personal.
Up to 6,000 people are expected to inspect the Cup, a gilded trophy, which is based on an 18th century design. It is under security guard.
