TelstraClear customers still waiting for emails

11:32 am on 10 November 2010

New Zealand's second-largest internet provider says it still has a backlog of undelivered emails as a result of a serious fault.

The 24-hour fault was first noticed about 5pm on Monday and TelstraClear's servers were restored by th Tuesday.

The cause of the problem still has not been found and some customers are still reporting problems.

TelstraClear says emails will eventually be received but they are queued, waiting to be delivered.

It says there is a massive backlog and the oldest emails will be sent first.

The company is apologising to customers for the continued delay.
