'Hard work' ahead to restore faith in bus service

The company which has bought a troubled Christchurch bus operator says it will take a lot of hard work to restore public confidence in the service.

A police sting operation this week resulted in 62 buses being ordered off the road, mostly owned or operated by Christchurch Bus Services.

Go Bus Transport director Craig Worth, whose company reached a deal on Friday to buy that service, says the company will now move quickly to bring the fleet up to its operating standard.

Mr Worth says Go Bus will have a management team in Christchurch next week ahead of an expected takeover date of 1 December.
