NZ students perform well in international rankings

International test results show New Zealand 15-year olds remain top of the English-speaking world in reading and science.

The Programme for International Student Assessment covers 65 countries or economies.

The latest results show no real change to New Zealand's scores in reading, maths and science.

New Zealand and Canada are the best performing English-speaking nations, with Australia hard on their heels.

But when all countries are considered, New Zealand is just outside the top group of nations.
