A boy has been caught drink-driving in Hamilton in a vehicle he took without permission.
Police say an officer saw the 14-year-old lose control of the car in the city on Sunday morning.
He was pulled over outside the police station and returned a breath-test result of 540mg of alcohol per litre of breath.
The legal limit for a licensed adult driver is 400mg.
Police say the boy has been referred to Youth Aid.
