A Chinese seaman has been found dead at Tauranga harbour.
Police say they were called to the wharf about 5.30pm on Friday after a report the 35-year-old had fallen from his ship into the water.
He was not pulled from the water until some 15 minutes later.
Senior Sergeant Carl Purcell says CPR was administered until ambulance staff arrived, but the man could not be resuscitated.
