A Christchurch woman accused of murdering her newborn baby has been remanded in custody while a psychiatric report is completed.
The woman, 27, was due to appear in Christchurch District Court on Wednesday, but her psychiatric assessment is yet to be finished. Her name is suppressed.
She is accused of killing the child between 1 October and 30 November.
She is staying at Hillmorton Hospital and will appear again in court on 7 January.
