A magnitude 4.1 was felt in Wairarapa on Thursday morning.
It was felt at 7.02am and was centred 190 km northwest of Masterton at a depth of 25 km.
At 4.14am a magnitude 3.5 quake, at twice the depth, was recorded 20 km southeast of Hastings.
