MetService says warnings about the possibility of heavy rain, thunderstorms and flash flooding in the upper North Island have been lifted due to the weather easing.
Earlier on Friday it said that heat and moisture could trigger very heavy showers for Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Rotorua and the Bay of Plenty.
