NZ flood relief team returns to Condamine

The New Zealand flood relief team in Queensland has returned to help residents in one of the badly affected towns it was evacuated from late on Monday night.

The 15-strong team returned to the rural mining town of Condamine on Tuesday to help move those worst affected to Miles, about 30 kilometres to the north.

New Zealand's Civil Defence Emergency Management's director, John Hamilton, says the team can not get to Brisbane or Toowomba, which have been cut off by floodwaters.

He says the team is safe and in good spirits, and expects them to help with clean up in Dalby and Toowomba in the coming days.
