Police divers have recovered the body of a 78-year-old Taupo man from the Waikato River.
A water rescue craft discovered his body on Saturday evening, about 800 metres downstream from the Lake Taupo control gates.
Police say the man went missing late on Friday night.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and has been reported to the coroner.
