Fireworks and high speed car chases will feature in the capital for the next few days as a big budget Bollywood movie films at locations around Wellington.
Filming was due to begin in Saturday on the movie, an Indian version of the Michael Caine classic The Italian Job.
Wellington City Council spokesperson Richard McLean says the action movie features Bollywood superstars Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor.
He says it's hoped that the movie will increase the number of Indian tourists.
Filming will finish next weekend.
