A man and a woman were burnt when a gas bottle exploded at a camp ground near Te Awamutu.
The incident happened on the western edge of Lake Arapuni, between Te Awamutu and Tokoroa, at 8.30pm on Thursday.
The man, 27, has burns to his arms, chest and legs and the woman, 22, was burnt on her face and hands.
Both were airlifted to Waikato hospital.
