Guy homicide inquiry focuses on vandalism

Police investigating the killing of Feilding farmer Scott Guy have released images of damage to his home the year before his death.

Mr Guy, 31, was found shot dead on the driveway of his Aorangi Road property in July 2010.

In January 2009, the partially-built home belonging to Scott and Kylie Guy was extensively vandalised.

The damage included broken windows, damage to internal walls and offensive graffiti on the external walls.

Police have released images of the graffiti, which includes expletives, and have asked anyone who recognises the writing or knows why the home was vandalised to contact them.

Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger says the Guys were not living at the home at the time of the vandalism and a number of families had lived at the property in the years before the damage.

Ms Schwalger says officers need to know if they should include or exclude the vandalism from their investigation and hopes members of the public may have heard talk of who carried it out.
