A police sting has culminated in multiple arrests and the seizure of more than 700 cannabis plants in the Wellington region.
Search warrants involving more than 50 police staff were executed on Tuesday in Masterton, south Wairarapa, Upper Hutt and Wellington city.
Detective Sergeant Rob Rackliff says the crackdown was carried out both in the air and from the ground, in the middle of the cannabis-growing season.
He says those arrested have made court appearances on various cultivation, possession and supply of cannabis charges.
