The organiser of the Boobs on Bikes parade, Steve Crowe, is defending charges under the Companies Act in relation to his porn distribution company.
Eden Digital Ltd was put into liquidation in 2009 and Mr Crowe was banned from taking any part in the company for four years from April 2010.
He appeared briefly in the Auckland District Court on Thursday, after a Ministry of Economic Development investigation.
The Ministry says it believes Mr Crowe was involved in the management and promotion of Eden Digital in August last year.
Representing himself, Mr Crowe entered a not guilty plea.
He is to reappear in court on 5 April.
