New Air Force chief announced

Air Vice Marshal Peter Stockwell has been appointed the new Chief of the Air Force.

Air Vice Marshal Stockwell, the Joint Forces Commander at Trentham, will begin his three-year term on 1 May.

He replaces Air Vice Marshal Graham Lintott.

Defence Minister Wayne Mapp says Air Vice Marshal Stockwell has had command experience at every level and extensive operational experience during his 38 years in the Air Force.
