SH6 delays

12:54 pm on 26 March 2011

Motorists traveling on State Highway Six at Nevis Bluff, midway between Cromwell and Queenstown, are advised to expect delays of up to 20 minutes on Saturday.

The Transport Agency says drilling work is taking place to remove unstable rock above the highway.

The road will open for traffic on the hour every hour until 5pm.

The agency aims to have the safety upgrade completed well before Easter weekend.
