About a dozen weather-related crashes on Tuesday morning prompted Wellington police to urge motorists to drive to the conditions.
Rain has caused slips in several areas including the suburb of Seatoun and also in Wainuiomata and Paekakariki.
There are also slips in the Central North Island, including in Taumarunui.
