Youthline says it's had 20% more calls during the past month from young people who say they are being bullied.
The agency says it gets about 1000 bullying calls per month, but the number has increased by about 200 since 8 March.
It says a number of high-profile bullying cases, including an Australian video showing a young person fighting back against a bully, have brought the issue into the spotlight.
Youthline says the number of people being bullied has not increased but the number of people reporting bullying has.
