A hunter who was lost for two nights in bush in the Urewera Forest has been found.
The Waihi man was part of an experienced hunting group which flew into the area on Saturday.
Police say the group split up to hunt, but the man did not return as arranged.
But he was located at about 9.30pm on Monday safe and well.
Police say he was well equipped, with suitable clothing and survival gear.
