Police have named the man found dead at a Wellington beach.
He was James Andrew McVey, 34, of Wellington.
His body was discovered at Houghton Bay about 10.30am on Thursday and police say the death is not suspicious.
They say the man is thought to be in his 30s and his name will be released once next-of-kin have been told.
