A person has been taken to hospital with minor injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in flipped onto its roof on State Highway 1 in Wellington.
The crash occurred near the Aotea turnoff just before 6am on Friday.
Three other people were in the vehicle, but no one was hurt.
Two lanes were closed briefly. Traffic workers cleaned up an oil spill on the road.
