A Dunedin man who sparked a hunt after firing a shotgun during a domestic incident in Central Otago on Saturday night has turned himself in to the police.
The 50-year-old fired the gun into the ground after an argument with his partner then left the house at Waipiata, near Ranfurly, on foot.
Police say he will appear in the Dunedin court on Monday charged with assault with a weapon.
