Rain has caused road problems across the western Bay of Plenty.
There are large potholes on State Highway Two at Te Puke and Papamoa Beach.
There are slips on State Highway 29 near the Kaimai ranges and at Bethlehem and flooding in Tauranga, Whitianga and other parts of the Coromandel.
Part of State Highway Five near Taupo has just been cleared after falling trees downed powerlines.
Police advise drivers in these areas to delay their travel if they can and to be patient on the roads.
