Port tour by Team NZ

2:16 pm on 26 April 2011

Team New Zealand hopes a tour through five ports starting on Tuesday will re-ignite enthusiasm for the Volvo round-the-world yachting race that it will contest later this year.

Camper is this country's first entry in the race since Grant Dalton's winning campaign with New Zealand Endeavour in 1994.

Dalton now heads Team New Zealand and says the idea of visiting other centres with the boat has been a big success in the past.

Camper's first stop is Tauranga, with sea trials over the next fortnight taking place in Gisborne, Wellington, Dunedin and Lyttelton.
