A parade is to be held on Auckland's Queen Street to celebrate the historic win by the Breakers basketball team.
The Breakers are the first New Zealand team in any sport to win an Australian-based competition.
They fought off the Cairns Taipans 71-53 in a play-off decider in Auckland on Friday to claim the Australian National Basketball League title.
Auckland mayor Len Brown has announced the parade will be held on Friday and will be followed by an event in Aotea Square.
