Three students have been charged with kidnapping and assault following an alleged serious assault on another student in Nelson.
A 16-year-old student from Nelson College suffered extensive bruising to his head and body from repeated punches and kicks in an attack last week.
Two boys aged 16 have been charged with kidnapping and injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with kidnapping.
