A man has been arrested after an Armed Offenders Squad callout in the Hastings suburb of Raureka.
Police were called to an address in Southland Rd just before midnight after reports of a man assaulting a woman.
They say people had been partying there for some time and the man had access to firearms, although none were found.
He was accused of making threats against the woman and was arrested.
