Police in Palmerston North say 20% of licensed premises recently targeted in a sting sold alcohol to people under the age of 18.
Senior Sergeant Clifford Brown says 15 premises were visited during the operation and three supplied alcohol to young people taking part in the investigation.
Discussions will be held with the owners of these premises before any decision is made on laying charges.
