The Northern Mystics winning run in the trans-Tasman netball competition has continued, with the Auckland-based side beating the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic 43-42 in the preliminary final in Hamilton.
The Mystics' shooters led the team to victory in the tight-scoring match; Cathrine Latu and Maria Tutaia missed just four goals between them.
The match was the first all-New Zealand preliminary final of the trans-Tasman netball competition.
The Mystics will fly to Queensland for next Sunday's grand final against the unbeaten Firebirds.
The team has beaten the higher-ranked NSW Swifts and the Magic on their way to the grand final.
