The man accused of killing Feilding farmer Scott Guy has made a second appearance in the Palmerston North District Court.
Mr Guy's brother-in-law, Ewen Macdonald, is charged with murder.
During a brief appearance in court on Thursday, his lawyer Greg King indicated that the charge will be defended.
Mr Guy, 31, was found shot dead in July last year at the end of his driveway in Aorangi Road, southeast of Feilding.
Ewen Macdonald, 30, was remanded in custody until 3 August.
