A man who fled a court in Northland has escaped from custody before.
Aaron Stephen Forden, 29, was appearing on violence and dishonesty charges when he managed to escape from Whangarei District Court on Friday.
In 2008, Forden escaped from Auckland Central remand prison at Mt Eden using a rope of knotted sheets.
Police say he has ties to Northland and Auckland and should not be approached.
