The Feilding business community is taking steps to guard against a serial arsonist.
Six suspicious fires have occured in the town in recent months at commercial buildings and a church.
The latest was at a skin and hide merchant on South Street on Sunday.
Feilding Promotion manager Helen Worboys, says the fires are of huge concern to the business community.
She says the group has been working with businesses to make sure their premises are secure as possible, and that there is no debris lying around that could be used in a fire.
